You look around the house and everything seems foreign. Without love, it feels like you are on somebody else’s turf. Like you are just a visitor eventually your time will come to leave.
At least that’s what it felt like for me. I felt like I was continually a broken version of whatever I was supposed to be. I couldn’t figure out if it was my looks, or my school grades, or maybe because I didn’t play sports like my brothers. I looked for an answer everywhere to try and explain why Dad just didn’t do anything with me.
I’m writing this now to you, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, to tell you that you no longer need to let somebody that is emotionally unavailable continue to control your own emotional wellbeing. There is a way. It wasn’t easy for me, but I certainly poured many hours, and a lot of money out to counselors, as I tried to make my way through the source of why I was having so many personal problems.
I am happy to say that I have never been filled with so much light and levity as I am now. My days are filled with joy, abundance, and contentment. Sure, there are still times that I start to begin to wallow in my druthers. But that’s exactly when I remember to follow my own advice. In this book, I will walk you through it.

It is painful to grow up in an environment where the caregivers are basically the to offer nothing more than financial support. You always long for more, and I know this from personal experience with my parents and foster parents. The author is also writing this book having been through the same thing. Here the focus is fathers but I guess this book does apply to anyone who's been through the pain of receiving zero emotional support throughout their upbringing. This book serves as a comprehensive guide to letting go of the pain for people who have experienced it.Product details

Two out of the three books published by this author relate to emotional pain and the denial of it. One book discusses her painful childhood loss of a emotionally distant father, admitting she sought some form of "counseling" to heal. The other book claims that spanking done right to a child is healthy and for some reason is essential. She claims to not be harmed by spanking but warns children can be damaged by this punishment. She says she knows the secret to administering a spanking correctly, and knows the manner done that is so harmful. But her book on having and recovering from an emotionally distant father doesn't acknowledge the harm she experienced from her own childhood spankings and possibly why her father is emotionally distant, from his own childhood punishments. She's in denial of her own pain from spanking and still holds a belief that spanking can be good if done right. Please be aware the author is promoting a harmful practice with the illusion it's good and safe with careful technique but admits she needed counseling to recover. FYI the American Academy of Pediatrics just announced in Nov. 2018 that all spanking is HARMFUL, and we have an author here as an example to demonstrate both denial and evidence of that harm.
Small concentrated book. Highly recommend fo those who were unlucky to have CEN
It seemed as if the author was still angry at her father. I was hoping for more tips on overcoming the feelings around unavailable/absent fathers.
It's written as if for a child. Not very age-appropriate.
It is becoming a common trend these days with the working parents and this book is addressing this issue and has helped a lot with my friend who has not had a lot of time with his parents and care givers after the parents separated when he was still 4 years old. The book will help to curb the emotional/ psychological pain that has affected the health of my friend and many other people.
